It’s Not Goodbye…

What a year it’s been. And what strikes me the most is the resilience and strength of the human spirit to see us through the greatest collective trauma of our time. Not for 100 years has there been a global pandemic, and let’s hope it’s the last. I am beyond proud of our healthcare workers who have shouldered the brunt of this beast, and I also applaud the efforts of teachers, parents and essential service workers for all they’ve done to help us weather this storm even while going through it themselves.

I am at once blown away and filled up with gratitude.

I also want to thank the people working in government for all they’ve done to support us through it, and here in Canada (and everywhere, of course) people have all sorts of opinions and emotions around what their governments did and didn’t do, but all I know is I wouldn’t want to be in their shoes, and perhaps if we were, we could appreciate the complexity and gravity of the situation that much better.

I’ve spent the last few weeks mapping out my 2021, and while I’ve absolutely loved coming to you each week since 2015, the time has come to press pause on my blog as I build out my YouTube channel. I can’t WAIT to share more easy, tasty, healthy recipes that factor in food allergies/sensitivities, tastes+preferences as well as various budgets. We are going to have a TON of fun, so watch your inbox for my first NEW video, and feel free to head over there to watch some of my past videos and perhaps subscribe. In fact, I’d really love, love, love it if you would! Thank you in advance, if you do. ๐Ÿ™‚ Here is the link again to my channel.

I am also building out my coaching practice and have added an extra spot, so if YOU would like to work with me privately so that we can customize a plan for YOU and YOUR goals, let’s chat! The clients I tend to work with are CEOs and entrepreneurs seeking to enjoy the same level of success with their health+energy as they do in their businesses. If this sounds like something you’d like to work on in 2021, comment below or send me an email at Sarah@SarahTalksFood.com and we will jump on a call to discuss.

I will also be running another round of group coaching in my flagship program called OBAAT. The next round starts in February (dates TBD) so comment below or send me an email and I will get you on the list.

I also wanted to share that I am FINALLY getting my Food-Mood Journal app built!! My team and I are in verrrry early development, but I’ve had a dream to build an app for my Food-Mood Journal for yearrrrrs (it’s the ONE sticking point I always find with my students, as carrying around an actual journal is annoying and using Notes on smart phones doesn’t always work well, either), so, that’s going to be a JOY to share with you when the time comes. Eeeeeek!

I’m also going to continue to work with natural skin care company Lemon Balm Lane on some new and innovative skin care products we know you’ll love! We just launched with Your Lips… Just Better!, a universally flattering shade of naturally tinted, smooth-as-silk lip balm in a delicious and nostalgic orange vanilla flavour (think Orange Creamsicles!), and we’ve been BLOWN AWAY by the feedback we’ve already received. if you haven’t yet checked out the website, here is the link to poke around!

Annnnnnnd I’m also in talks to do another TV show!! Eeeeeeeek!!!! I don’t have any details to share yet, but as soon as I do, you will be the FIRST to hear! Promise!

In a year that challenged each and every one of us, I hope this note reminds you that we are always, always allowed to change. In fact, as humans, we are really, really good at change. We are incredibly adaptable (I mean, just LOOK at how we’ve all adapted to wearing masks and standing 6 feet apart!) even when we’d much, much rather keep things the way they are. Why? Because that’s more comfortable! But if I’ve taught you anything in the last 6 years of sharing on this blog, I hope you realize that we never, ever grow inside our comfort zones.

We just don’t.

We might stay comfy and warm, which certainly has its place! But what I know for sure is that being uncomfortable and letting things go is a necessary step to allow for new things to enter. And we never know what those things might be if we’re too busy holding on tight to what we already have.

So, I encourage you to use the year 2020 as your touchstone. The year life provided us a wake-up call, the chance to truly pay attention, take stock, and realize the deeper truths inside of ourselves. The year we could no longer ignore the stirrings and the whispers from deep inside, the ones that got louder amidst all the quiet, leading you closer to where you want to go. And I hope 2021 becomes THE year you decide to stop being a human doing and start getting closer to WHY you’re here… to share your gifts with the world, to show up fully as you really are, and to create art with your one wild and precious life.ย

I love you.

I love your life.

And, as always, I want you to love your life one bite at a time.

P.S. I really hope to stay connected on YouTube!! ๐Ÿ˜‰ Here’s the link again to subscribe to my channel. Did I mention I’d love it if you subscribed? Ok, just making sure. ๐Ÿ˜‰ xo
